ESTIMATOR

Successful candidates will have a full range of project estimating experience. Project administration experience and decent Spanish are very helpful. Candidates must be enthusiastic and personable, have a great work ethic, and able to think critically. This person works closely with architects and designers, and must be detail-oriented, organized, and quick to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create budget spreadsheets from drawing sets and attend pre-bid meeting with design staff to understand project scope and priorities.
  • Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materials.
  • Attend weekly construction office schedule meetings; maintain notes and calendar.
  • Attend to correspondence and construction office admin.
  • Report to Controller and Project Manager for budget review.
  • Price out work orders as assigned.
  • Undertake research projects as asked.
  • Assist with construction administration in the field as asked.
  • Be prepared for site visits to take measurements, photos, or to deliver drawings or samples.
  • Present budgets at client meetings; record client feedback and take detailed notes.
  • Maintain digital files according to office standards and become familiar with current projects.
  • Order and supply materials as needed
  • Create, send and manage subcontractor requests for proposal.
  • Manage task lists to correctly prioritize workload of budgets and job schedules.
  • Coordinate with Construction supervisor and design staff.
  • Schedule and attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Schedule follow-up site visits with construction manager and/or
  • project designer.
  • Audit past and ongoing project budgets for accuracy.

40 hours per week. After successful completion of a 90-day trial period, the position includes benefits comprised of health insurance, paid vacation, and paid holidays.

LANDSCAPE GARDEN ASSISTANT

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Maintenance Manager in the operations and daily tasks in the maintenance of client gardens and the company greenhouse
  • Assist in gathering of plan materials for installations
  • Visit job sites to monitor and check work performed by installation and maintenance crews
  • Troubleshoot irrigation problems
  • Plant, water, cultivate, fertilize, and weed gardens

Requirements:

  • Plant identification and knowledge
  • Plant pest and disease identification and organic pest control methods
  • Knowledge and ability of how to properly prune and trim perennials, grasses, shrubs, and trees
  • Knowledge of essential irrigation and setting of irrigation controller
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Enjoys the outdoors and can work outside in all weather (year-round)
  • Texas Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Bilingual preferred

Full-Time Landscape Driver/Crew Member


Required:

  • Current TX driver's license
  • Clean driving record

Position consists of: 

  • Driving landscaping crew to project locations
  • Driving vehicle on material runs throughout the day
  • Crew work when not driving vehicle
  • Physically demanding, outdoor work in Central Texas seasonal weather (extreme heat in the summer; cold/rainy weather in the winter)


Full benefits after three months, to include health insurance, paid vacation, and paid holidays. 40 hours per week, typically 8am-6pm, with 6-8 hours overtime weekly.
